Thursday's Thought for the Day....

"May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer."

Friday Fotos....

Saw this beautiful swan while out bike riding yesterday.                                                                         Hoping there is a mate nearby.

The Englishman and I both reached for our phones at the same moment last night in order to capture this scene.  Daughter #1's oldest dog, Barney, spent the week with us while she was away.  Our boy Dudley seemed content to be close to him - a rare event indeed.

I am "spoilt for choice" as they say in England with all the lovely magazines Daughter #1 brought back for me from London.

So very true - my afternoon plans are set!

Wishing everyone a warm, sunny and relaxing weekend!

Wednesday's Wisdom....

"If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this:
Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes,
hold your head high.
Look it squarely in the eye and say, 'I will be bigger than you.
You cannot defeat me.'
Then, repeat to yourself the most comforting words of all,
'This too will pass.'"

Friday Fotos....

 Spring is on its way....

Woke up to several inches of snow which had fallen during the night,
while at the same time the first bud sprung open on my gardenia plant.

A hopeful sign of things to come!

Wishing everyone a snow free, safe and happy weekend!

Thursday's Thought for the Day....

"The women whom I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because sh*t worked out.  They got that way because things went wrong, and they handled it...Those women are my superheroes."
Elizabeth Gilbert

AMEN, Sister!
