How about elected officials actually do the job we sent them to do instead of spending all their time campaigning for the next election.

If I remember my history correctly, the Founding Fathers saw elected office as service, not a lifetime career. They envisaged people serving in government for a limited time, then going back to their homes and jobs.
I'm just saying....
