Pick a number, any number....

Had an interesting conversation with C yesterday.  Went something like this:

Me: How old are you?

C: Four years old.  How old are you, Grandmom?

Me: I don't know.  How old do you think I am?

C: Well, what's your favorite number?

Me: 32

C: That's it! You're 32.  Just like Mommy!"

Hey, works for me!!

 I think it's wonderful my two granddaughters are attending the same grammar school I went to!

What's in a word?

It was recently pointed out to me that the word "ritual" is contained in the word "spiritual."  

Looking at the definitions below, courtesy of Merriam-Webster, I suspect that is not by accident.

Spiritual: of or relating to a person's spirit

Ritual: always done in a particular situation and in the same way each time

Those rituals and routines I perform on a daily basis are tools I can use to feed my spirit.

Making the bed each morning, the way I set the table, the seasonal items I decorate the house with, the manner in which I fold the towels, can all contribute to my spirit.

Perhaps, it's just of matter of how I view these simple tasks.
