Wise words!
My mother used to instruct family and friends who were going through a tough time to do the following:
"Go into the kitchen and
set the timer for ten minutes.
Then sit down and feel good and sorry for yourself.
Cry, scream, whatever.
When the timer goes off, pick yourself up and go about your day."
We need to acknowledge our feelings.
Really feel them.
Then we can deal with them.
Then we can move on.
