Tuesday's Tip for a Day....

Turn on the music!!
Feeling down, unsettled, uneasy? Turn on some music.
Using "Alexa", playlists on my phone, YouTube or my record player, I can change my mood and transport myself back to other times simply by listening to music.

Some of my favorite artists include James Taylor, Josh Groban, Carole King, and Nat King Cole. The "Classical for Focus" playlist on Alexa is a soothing choice when doing computer work. Another favorite - British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, playing at the Royal Wedding (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmfBt6RVdYY)

MUSIC
"Things may always stay the way they are
Still my head looks for a change from time to time

I don't really mean to look that far- turn on the music
Strike up the music, let the music change my mind"

James Taylor

Thursday's Thought for the Day....

Perhaps you've heard about this amazing young man....

"I want people to know this—no matter what the challenge is, you can break through the challenge. Nothing is impossible unless you make it impossible,'' Carr says. "You can do anything you set your mind to. I've got God by my side.

"God blessed me to be a blessing,'' Carr says. "Whatever challenges God puts in front of me, I know it's for a reason."

"A quote that I made in high school is, 'God blessed me to bless,'" Carr said. "You can sum that quote down to, God puts you in certain situations for a reason. It is not because he does not think you can pull through, but he knows you can pull through. He sees something in yourself that you might not see, but he pulls you through. If you do not feel like you can talk to your parents, Walter is here. I want to get out and help. If I have to travel the nation, I would love to. I just want to inspire and meet people and listen to their story, see how their journey was and see all the Walters out there. I know there are a lot more Walters out here, and I am coming for you all."

Walter Carr
College student and US Marine hopeful,
who walked about 20 miles to his first day of work at Bellhops Moving Company in Alabama when his car broke down.

Thursday's Thought for the Day....

"The world in which you live is not primarily determined by outward conditions and circumstances but by the thoughts that habitually occupy your mind."
~ Norman Vincent Peale
