Tip for a Tuesday...

 Symmetry and Simplicity

We recently moved a bookcase into our bedroom. At first, I was placing books, decorative boxes and other bits and bobs here and there on the shelves. I found the mish mash of items to be too distracting.

So, I ordered a set of storage boxes, which came in a pack of three. They improved the look so much that I ordered another set.

They hold excess clothes, an extra set of sheets and my stash of toiletries. The look is serene and orderly, which is the mindset I aim for daily.

If you like the look, here is the information from Amazon:

Wednesday's Wisdom...

Noah's Ark

Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark...

One: Don't miss the boat.

Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.

Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Four: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.

Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

Six: Build your future on high ground.

Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.

Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The same snails were on board with the cheetahs.

Nine: When you're stressed, float awhile.

Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs, the Titanic by professionals.

Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Tip for a Tuesday...

Espaskincare posted the following tips on their Instagram post:
Five ways to show yourself kindness
"Being kind to yourself doesn’t always come naturally. Under times of stress we can be our own worst critic. We’ve put together five simple tips for you to practice self-kindness & compassion. Go easy on yourself, do what makes you happy and be kind.

Be Kind to You
Write down three things you like about you
It could be your smile, your ability to wake up early, or your fierce passion for something.

Be compassionate.
Try not to put so much pressure on yourself especially during such an uncertain time. On down days be gentle on yourself.

Stop comparing.
Remind yourself that what is posted on social media is not always necessarily 'real life', manage who you follow and unfollow anyone who doesn't bring you happiness.

Make sleep a priority.
Sleep helps us feel invigorated and energised. Getting a good night sleep always makes us feel better.

Self-recognition.
Reminding yourself of any achievements you made whether it is big or small. "

Wednesday's Wisdom...

"We cannot stand still, because the world keeps turning. Every year must give way to the next, and its stories must be folded. Tucked away like children's clothes - outgrown, cherished, and never quite forgotten.
