Can you believe we actually used these as purses back in the early '70's?
Friends of mine made me a similar one for my birthday using a metal lunchbox.
They applied multiple cutouts on the outside, then protected it with a clear sealant.
Inside it was lined with green felt.
Not at all practical given the tiny handle,
but lots of fun.
Then a dear college friend made me this, using an old cigar box. It's held up well and sits pride on place on one of our shelves.
Maybe it's time to bring back decoupage given our current isolating situation.
