Tip for a Tuesday....

Looking for a way to feel productive during the long winter months?
Love to knit or crochet?

Then check out The Linus Project
http://www.projectlinus.org/

This worthwhile organization provides blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of some physical comfort.
Daughter #1 and I sent a box of blankets to our local chapter last year.  We received one of the warmest thank you notes I've ever read from the woman who runs it.  Last week I received the group's newsletter.  It is heartwarming to know that our efforts may have brought a just a little bit of comfort to a child.

New to knitting or crocheting?
There are numerous ways to learn - from YouTube videos to books to groups of ladies who often meet at your local library.

So if you are looking for something to do while watching the latest episode of Downton Abbey or the NFL playoffs, or maybe you would like to create a much needed "hug" in the form of a blanket, then consider picking up a crochet hook or knitting needles.
I can tell you from my own experience, it is well worth your time and efforts!
